You can have your hair cut for Pantene Beautiful Lengths at any salon or even at home! Simply follow the directions listed on the campaign’s web site www.beautifullengths.com.

We have been receiving many questions as to where donors can go to get their hair cut for free or at a discounted price if they are donating their hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths.  We know of a couple of places, but if you know of a salon that offers discounted services, please respond to this entry and let others know!

Peter Kadushin and Leo Standora over at NYDailyNews.com write a great story about Merideth Sheriden and the recent event at the Mark Garrison Salon.

Ever since Meredith Sherman was in kindergarten, she’s worn her hair long – way past shoulder length.

But yesterday the 30-year-old social worker from Brooklyn walked into celebrity hairstylist Mark Garrison’s Salon on E. 60th St. and had her brunette tresses trimmed so much you could see her neck.

“I bet I just lost 2 pounds,” Sherman smiled wistfully, as Garrison showed her the hank of hair he had just shorn. “I wanted to do a good deed, but having it look this good is an extra.”

New Yorkers Pony Up

Raine Marlowe Graves over at BeautyNewsNYC.com writes a great post about the Mark Garrison cutting event that occurred on Wednesday April 25th.

Mark and his team donated his salon for the evening and took in 38 tails in a few hours (even a cameraman got caught up in the goodwill and bent his head to the scissors). The salon must have anticipated last minute panic attacks and prepared for the event with soothing fragrant flowers, cheese and crackers (always a good distraction for me) and roaming team members to provide last minute calming.

Where you there? Tell us what you thought?
