        Thank you for your support of Pantene Beautiful Lengths! An Indiana salon does not need to be on this list for you to be able to donate. You can donate at any salon. Just let them know in advance that you will be donating and be sure to send your hair to:

      Right now, no salons in Texas are participating. But if you know of any salons that would like to be part of National Donate Your Hair Day, send them our way! Also, you can always go to your salon on April 27th and donate your hair. Even if the salon isn’t on this list.

        Hi Misty,

        If you want to donate your hair on April 27th at a salon that is not on this list, you just have to let them know that you are donating your hair. Since there are certain steps they will need to take. For example, your hair donation will need to be in bound ponytail before you can send it in. But you can still make a donation, even if your salon is not on this list!

    I have 3 ponytails saved to donate and are all approximately 12′ in length each. Do you have an address where I can mail them to on my own. There is not a salon close to me that is participating.

        wow, i live 20 min from strongsville Oh and i am surprised that there are no Ohio salons participating! I am planing on donating, but since ohio is not participating i was thinking about making a vacation out of it and going somewhere else. If you know of any ohio salons participating please let me know!

        Hi Anna,

        I love the idea of making a vacation out of it! But you don’t need to — unless you really want to. Even if your salon is not listed in this official list, you can still donate your hair at your regular salon. Just let them know if advance that you are donating your hair on April 27. They may even give you a discount!

        However, we have new salons coming in ever day. So keeping checking back :)

      Your salon does not have to be on this list to make a donation. You can go to your usual salon on Long Island on April 27th and let them know that you are donating your hair. They might give you a discount since you are donating!

      You can always donate your hair at the salon you attend regularly. Just go to your salon on April 27th and let them know you are donating your hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. They may even give you a discount since you are donating!

      You can most definitely make your hair donation at your local salon! All you have to do is mail your hair, when it is completely dry and still in a bound ponytail to:

        Thanks to amazing support and generous donations from the guys at Exeter Metro did the deed on Friday and have raised over £500 for Cancer Research and 14inch ponytail ready to be sent off.

    Are there any other requirements besides the length (8-inch minimum)? My hair is long enough but it has been highlighted in the past. Is that going to be a problem? I really hope it’s not because I really would love to do this!!! :o )

      Unfortunately your hair cannot be treated with permanent or semi-permanent dye. However, lots of women grow out their highlights then donate. So that could be an option, too!

        If we have had highlights (say over 2 years ago and they have sinced grown out) can we still donate the hair that has not been highlighted? I have some layers anyway so I believe I will need to donate multiple ponytails, which I have done the last two times I donated. I have well over 8 inches of hair most of which is entirely highlight free so I just want to make sure I am still able to donate most of it, if not all of it. Please let me know, thank you so much!

I have been waiting for it to grow up to 2 wigs (17 inches), and now I want to donate it but I don’t know where to go, cause I don’t dare to do it myself. Thanks!

      You can donate your hair at any salon. Even one in Puerto Rico! The salon will cut your hair, but you are responsible for sending it in.

    Hello! I would love to find a participating salon in Washington, D.C. Have there been any salons popping up in the DC Metro area? I am sort of surprised they would not already be on board. I plan to donate either way, but I thought I would check and see!I have donate twice before to Locks of Love and I am thrilled to be participating for Beautiful Lengths – a national day is such a wonderful idea.

      We do not have a salon in DC yet — we do have a few in Virginia, though. However, you can still donate at your local salon, even if they are not on this list! Just let your salon know it advance that you will be donating your hair.

    I’ve been growing out my hair for a little over a year in order to donate it. I live in El Dorado Hills, California 95762 and I’m disappointed to see there aren’t any participating salons in the California area. I know I can still go to any participating salon, but I’m 16 and salon cuts can be kind of pricey. How can I find out if any close by salons are participating? Is NDYHD known fairly well around the U.S.?

      How wonderful to hear that you would like to donate your hair. Many salons will give a discount if you let them know in advance that you are donating your hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths.

        We live in Sacramento, California, and just checked in with a local Great Clips salon on Florin Road near Greenhaven. Free cuts when donating! We just have to send it in ourselves. Hope this helps!

      Unfortunately, we do not hat have any other Virginia salons officially participating. However, many salons are open to offering discounts to people who are donating their hair. So be sure to check with your local salon!

      You daughter can donate her hair at any salon. We recommend donors call the salon in advance to let them know they will be donating their hair. But any stylist can do the haircut.     Hi, I have a question. Donating my hair is in my bucket list and I want to do it for a good cause. Although I really want to donate my hair is in layers. I have seen two comments that pertain to my subject yet they do not answer my question. Would I have to seperate it into several pony tails that measure out to be 8 inches or can I tie it into a single pony tail and measure it out to be 8 inches. I only ask because cutting it in the latter way would mean some of the pieces would be shorter than 8 inches. Please answer my question so I can donate. :)

      Hi Natalia,

      Most women separate their hair into a few ponytails before donating while others donate one large ponytail. It is really your preference. As long as the majority of you hair is eight inches, the shorter pieces will not be an issue.

    Are there any Hair Salons in the San Diago area that are still participating in Locks of Love. My daughter just moved to the area. Seven years ago she donated her ponytail but it was in a different state. She would like to have her hair cut as soon as possible, and wants to donate when she does.       This page is for Pantene Beautiful Lengths, not Locks of Love. However, you daughter can have her hair cut at any salon in your area. Then you just have to send the hair into Pantene Beautiful Lengths.

    I find it interesting that Pantene has donated 14,000 wigs to cancer patients and Locks of love from what I can find 1400 to since 1998…. This hair cut will be going to Pantene! Now to find a short cut I like!

    Hi last year my daughter of 10 well she was 9 at the time donated her hair it was thick long and so heathly and we couldny find no one to do this and we told them we would pay for the haircut so its another year she wants to wait but i dont my hair is at the small of my back and now i want to donate where can i do this… Im in woodinville, wa please help goin crazy with my hair…lol thanx everyone

      I’m not familiar with any salons in Jacksonville, but if you tell a stylist that you are donating your hair, they may cut it at either a discounted rate or free of charge!

      Hi Stephanie,
      We can only accept hair that is 8 inches or longer – if you can pin up the shorter layers and just cut the longest one you will still be able to donate!
