Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Although every month should be cancer awareness month, October is a time to pay special attention to breast cancer, the most common cancer among women in the United States.

Comforting someone who is battling this disease  can make a real difference.

Here are some ways you can help a woman during the greatest fight of her life:

  • Make the Cut: Many women feel that hair loss is one of the worst side effects of certain cancer treatments. You have the power to make a very personal, heartfelt donation that will allow a woman to look in the mirror and see a recognizable face when her body doesn’t feel like her own. Set a personal goal to grow your hair and donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths
  • Lend an ear: Initially, a person battling cancer may not be able to speak about what they’re going through, but it can help to know that a sympathetic listener is there when they are ready to talk
  • Don’t wait to be asked: Walking the dog, mowing the lawn, even doing the dishes can often seem overwhelming to a person with cancer. It doesn’t take much time to make an ill person’s day much easier!
