On Monday, June 10, Procter & Gamble hosted its 3rd Pantene Beautiful Lengths hair donation event at P&G Headquarters. Over 75 P&G employees, family, friends and members of the Cincinnati community collectively donated over 400 ponytails that will be used to create free real-hair wigs for women undergoing cancer treatments.
A Pantene Beautiful Lengths banner, giant pink and purple balloons, DJ and many smiling faces welcomed the hair donors as they registered for the event and proudly changed into their pink Pantene Beautiful Lengths t-shirts, eager to donate their hair to such a great cause.
Among the attendees were several special guests including, P&G Executive, Walter Geiger; WCPO-TV ‘Good Morning Tri-State’ news anchor; Katherine Nero and P&G employee, Julie Noe. Walter provided heartfelt opening remarks welcoming everyone, while thanking those who were donating their hair and volunteering their time to help and support. Katherine and Julie both shared their personal stories and provided great advice encouraging and inspiring women to take charge of their health. Julie also shared a special moment with her daughter Bella, who donated 8 inches of her hair in front of the entire crowd.
The P&G Pantene Beautiful Lengths hair donation event was a tremendous success, and the program is so thankful to have received so many hair donations. It’s P&G’s goal to give back to the community through philanthropic work that benefit the lives of others. With the kindness of the community, the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program is truly making a difference.
We’d like to give a special thanks to everyone who came out and supported this event, and we hope that more people will donate their 8 inches of hair for Pantene’s 2nd annual National Donate Your Hair Day on September 7!
